Wednesday I August 6 I 6-8PM Buchanan Park Field | Evergreen

Music, Mountains & Memories: The 2025 EPRD Summer Concert Series Continues

The Evergreen Parks & Recreation District’s summer concert series continues! This beloved community event where family, friends and neighbors come together to enjoy music, food and drink in a beautiful mountain setting is free to all to attend!

Whether you’re dancing barefoot in the grass, sharing a picnic with friends, or simply soaking in the mountain views, the Summer Concert Series is your weekly dose of joy and connection. Come early, bring your chairs or blankets, and get ready to groove — Evergreen style!

August 6th headliner: Steve Knight

Steve Knight, the unmistakable voice that helped launch Flipsyde, is back with a renewed edge and undeniable energy. His latest album—recorded at the iconic Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals—dives into a bold blend of gritty folk-rock and soul-drenched Americana. It’s a powerful homecoming that channels raw emotion, honest storytelling, and a sound that cuts straight to the bone. Now on tour, Knight returns fierce, unfiltered, and louder than ever. Steve Knight will go on at 6:30.

Insider tip: the field opens around 4:00 to the public for the show– head over early to snag your perfect spot!

MOUNTAIN HOME’S ANNUAL TENT SALE

Friday- Sunday I August 8- 10 I 10-5PM Mountain Home | Evergreen

One of My Favorite Sales of the Year: Mountain Home’s Annual Tent Sale!

If you know me, you know I have a soft spot for beautiful, well-crafted home pieces—and a serious weakness for a good sale. That’s why I get genuinely excited every year when Mountain Home’s Annual Tent Sale rolls around. It’s not just a sale… it’s a full-on treasure hunt!

Starting Friday, August 8th, you can score up to 75% off on everything from furniture and home décor to clothing, bedding, lighting, and more. It’s the perfect chance to refresh a room (or two) without stretching your budget—and trust me, the finds are so worth it.

I always walk away with something unexpected that ends up being a favorite in my home, whether it’s a cozy throw, a statement lamp, or that little something I didn’t know I needed until I saw it under the tent.

Pro Tip: their inventory doesn’t stick around long—so if you’re in the market for a home refresh or just love a good local gem, I highly recommend swinging by sooner than later.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN FOLKS FESTIVAL

Friday- Sunday I August 8-10 Planet Bluegrass Ranch | Lyons

Looking to get out of the foothills this month?

Grab your camp gear (or book a hotel if that’s not your thing;)) and head out to Lyons for a perfect summer weekend escape!

Set on the stunning grounds of Planet Bluegrass Ranch, this three-day festival is more than just a music event—it’s a full-on experience. With the St. Vrain River running right through the venue, you can literally plant your chair in the sand, kick off your shoes, and enjoy incredible performances with your feet in the water. Yes, it’s as magical as it sounds.

There are two stages—the Main Stage for those big, unforgettable sets, and the more intimate Wildflower Pavilion, where some of the most moving performances tend to unfold. Add in the songwriter showcase, a vibrant mix of craft vendors, delicious local food, and the chance to camp riverside, and you’ve got a weekend that feels like Colorado at its best.

Whether you're there for the music, the community, or simply to unwind along the creek (and yes, definitely pack that bathing suit), the Folks Fest is one of those events that brings out the magic of the season—and the best in people. It’s laid-back, soulful, and deeply connected to the land and the music.
