Summer in Evergreen just wouldn't be complete without the Evergreen Parks & Recreation District Summer Concert Series, and our community is thrilled to welcome it back for another season! Mark your calendars for Wednesday evenings all summer long, when Buchanan Field (or the beloved Evergreen Lake House, depending on the week) transforms into a lively celebration of music, community, and the unbeatable beauty of our mountain backdrop.

This free, family-friendly event is a cherished tradition where locals and visitors alike gather to enjoy live performances, delicious food, refreshing drinks, and each other’s company under the breathtaking Colorado sunset skies.

Whether you’re dancing barefoot in the grass, sharing a picnic with friends, or simply soaking in the mountain views, the Summer Concert Series is your weekly dose of joy and connection. Come early, bring your chairs or blankets, and get ready to groove — Evergreen style!

This week’s headliner: Decaf Muchachos & Kara Kappuccina  

The Decaf Muchachos & Kara Kappuccina bring a joyful, high-energy vibe to the stage with a lighthearted spin on familiar favorites. Their eclectic setlist spans genres and generations—think jazz, rock, pop, and soul—blended with their own unique style. With infectious energy and playful showmanship, they’re sure to get audiences of all ages smiling, clapping, and moving to the music.

Saddle Up for an Iconic Evergreen Tradition: The Evergreen Rodeo

Every summer, our charming mountain town comes alive with one of its most beloved and time-honored events—the Evergreen Rodeo, held annually over Father’s Day weekend. This iconic celebration of western heritage is more than just a rodeo—it's a community tradition that brings together locals and visitors for a weekend full of excitement, pride, and mountain spirit.

The fun kicks off with a colorful Saturday morning parade through downtown Evergreen, featuring floats, horses, music, and hometown charm. That evening, the rodeo arena heats up with a thrilling performance, followed by another action-packed show on Sunday afternoon. It’s a full weekend of family-friendly festivities that capture the heart of the Colorado mountain lifestyle.

Organized by the all-volunteer Evergreen Rodeo Association, this event is truly a labor of love. Volunteers work year-round to ensure each detail reflects the pride and authenticity that make our rodeo one of the best in the West. As part of their commitment to the community, the Evergreen Rodeo Association also offers the use of their rodeo grounds to local non-profits and organizations for approved events. Whether you're a long-time local or a first-time visitor, the Evergreen Rodeo is a must-experience tradition that captures the wild, wonderful spirit of our mountain home. See you in the stands!!

Music, Mountains & Memories: The 2025 EPRD Summer Concert Series Continues

The Evergreen Parks & Recreation District’s summer concert series continues! One month, two artists! This beloved community event where family, friends and neighbors come together to enjoy music, food and drink in a beautiful mountain setting is free to all to attend! This week’s headliner: Aleik Maddox  

Blending elements of rock, soul, and funk, Aleik Maddox delivers a high-energy, crowd-pleasing performance that resonates with audiences of all backgrounds and ages. His sound is both dynamic and heartfelt, drawing inspiration from musical greats known for their bold style and soulful impact. With a genuine approach to songwriting and a magnetic stage presence, Aleik brings an authenticity to his music that’s easy to feel—whether you’re hearing him live or catching clips on his social media.

Celebrate Creativity in the Rockies: The 8th Annual Evergreen Mountain Art Celebration

Get ready to experience the magic of art in the mountains! The 8th Annual Evergreen Mountain Art Celebration returns to our beautiful mountain community on June 28th and 29th, promising a weekend full of inspiration, creativity, and connection.

This juried fine art and fine craft festival will showcase the work of 75 professional artists from Colorado and across the country. Held at the Evergreen North shopping complex—just off Evergreen Parkway near the post office— this event transforms the heart of town into a vibrant open-air gallery.

Wander through booths filled with exceptional art inspired by mountain living, Western, Southwestern, and rustic themes. From bold paintings and handcrafted jewelry to sculpture, ceramics, woodwork, metal art, and more—there’s something for every art lover to admire (and take home!).

Timed perfectly with one of Evergreen’s most energetic and sun-soaked weekends, the Art Celebration is a highlight of the summer and a favorite among locals and visitors alike. YOGA ON THE ROCKS

There’s nothing quite like greeting the day with a deep breath and a stretch under Colorado’s open sky—especially when you’re doing it at one of the world’s most stunning natural venues.

This summer, yogis of all experience levels are invited to roll out their mats and find their flow at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Held every Saturday morning from June through August (excluding the 4th of July weekend), these energizing outdoor classes offer a unique blend of movement, mindfulness, and breathtaking scenery set against the awe-inspiring backdrop of towering red sandstone formations. This is more than just a workout; it’s a full sensory experience that grounds the body and uplifts the spirit.

Led by expert instructors, each session begins at 7 AM, but early birds are welcome to arrive as early as 6 AM to find their perfect spot and soak in the views.
